is not smooth (Win7 & non-Aero). |
SoftBIOS |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: In non- Aero mode, vSync was not getting generated correctly. Fix: The issue
was fixed by returning scan line counter value even in vblank period for
non-Aero mode. |

Momentary
corruption seen over the top edge of screen when booting to Win7 OS |
GMM |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: At
time of boot, high resolution plane is being tried to load. There is overlap
with initial physical pages backing high resolution FB and virtual
address pointing to physical pages of internal segments allocated during this
transition period and hence corruption is seen. Fix: To avoid
this overlap at initial transition period at the boot time, the pipe and port
is turned of and later on turned on or reinitialized when it is needed, which
will in turn minimize the visibility of corruption. |

Adding a movie clip into Powerpoint, BSOD occurs. |
GMM |
Windows* 7 |
Intel® Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: When Overlay is on, the driver updated the fence register which was
being used by the overlay and this causes the Overlay request to stall and
subsequent hang. Fix: This issue has been fixed in the GMM component. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3291648 |
The "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is no function on Win 7 |
NT-Miniport |
Windows* 7 |
Intel® Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: When we select maintain aspect scaling, then driver is properly giving
the scaling option and also CUI is sending right scaling option to OS to set
display settings. But OS is not giving a commit call. OS is driving Maintain
aspect scaling and is thinking there is no change in settings and so not
driving the change display settings. Fix: PNV graphics driver for Win7 is WDDM 1.0 architecture, so driver
doesn’t understands MAR [OS limitation due to lack of CCD support], so a
workaround has been implemented in the driver which fixes this issue. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3176808 |
There is bright line on top of panel when resuming from S3/S4. Also: Logon display several stripes when log on windows desktop. |
CUI |
Windows* 7 |
Intel® Atom™ N400 Series |

Root Cause: OS and CUI set Display gamma color values simultaneously due to which there
is white line observed. Fix: Issue was fixed by introducing a delay. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3292086 |
Playing KartRider online game observe display blinking. Also: Screen is blinking for a moment during playing
Maplestory game. |
SoftBIOS |
Windows* 7 |
Intel® Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: Incorrect framecount was being sent to the OS which was causing this
issue. Fix: Issue was fixed in the SoftBIOS component of the driver. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3290662 |
SG interface exposed on Pineview |
NT-Miniport |
Windows* 7 |
Intel® Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: Switchable Graphics interfaces are exposed with PineView branch drivers.
Switchable Graphics is not supported on PNV, so interfaces need to be removed
or hidden. Fix: SG support has been removed from NT-miniport component which fixes
this issue. |

Black screen may occur during VGA hot plug with certain
monitors |
Driver and
VBIOS |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root
Cause: Issue occurs
when not all channels of R,G and B are terminated properly on the monitor or
there is a loose connection, the system reacts to it by displaying black image.
This has been root caused as a bug in both VBIOS as well as the graphics
driver. For more details, please refer to doc :
“GMA3150__Black_Screen_Alert_WW43.pdf” Fix: This issue
has been fixed in the driver and the VBIOS. For the problem to be completely
solved, upgrading of driver as well as VBIOS is required. |

The brightness
is still 19 levels on Win7 driver |
Power
Conservation |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root
Cause: Win7
recommends a minimum of 25 backlight brightness levels. OpRegion BCLM was not
extrapolating between the next lower level and higher level for 25 levels. Fix: In BCLM
table of Power Conservation component , new brightness duty cycle values were
generated that fixes this issue. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3177182 |
BSOD is not
seen in DDC mode & SD CRT on simulating Blue Screen on Win7 OS |
VBIOS |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root
Cause: CRT hot plug
status bit was getting set even though CRT was connected. Fix: This issue was
fixed in the VBIOS. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3177184 |
Not able to
apply 656* 496 resolution in DDC mode WIN 7 |
SoftBIOS |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root
Cause: This is because
with latest Win7 build (7600) OS is pruning this mode. Driver is adding this
mode in CRT modelist and reporting to OS. But once it is applied, OS does not
allow it to set this mode. Fix: CUI was
modified to be in sync when Hide Mode box is checked. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3174808 |
The LFP
backlight remains unchanged (maximum) when the power plan slider bar in OS
set to minimum for both AC and DC. |
Power
Conservation |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ N400 Series |
|||||||
Root
Cause: Needed to
add support for OS API for BLC control Fix: Support was
added to BLCControl APIs which fixed this issue. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3176122 |
Driver
version is different between inf file and igfxpph.dll |
CUI |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: CUI
binaries were not in sync with inf and driver binaries. Fix: Version
information was updated in the version setup file of CUI, which fixed the
issue. |

Not able to apply the Downscaled modes (10x7 & 11x8) on WIN7 using
CUI |
NT-Miniport |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: In the driver, we have a check for Native resolution of the panel (Mode
in EDID), which causes this function call to fail for to-be downscaled modes.
Fix: Whenever call comes for modes greater than Native, driver will handle it
appropriately if Downscaler is enabled. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3506351 |
Left-shifted display on secondary monitor |
SoftBIOS |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: CRT display clock was not being programmed
as per the PLL sheet for modes less than 1280x1024. Fix: Driver code has been updated, so that CRT
display clock is in unison with DPLL Clock Sheet. |
|||||||||||
Bug ID: 3174631 |
BSOD occurs when rotating independent display devices. |
KMD Render |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: When Independent rotation is enabled and when executing the MMIO flip
function where-in the function to save and restore floating point state is
called, this issue occurs. Fix: A workaround has been implemented to avoid this call, and this fixes the
issue. |
|||||||||||

TV/ CRT static feature (forced detection) removal from Windows7 drivers. |
CUI |
Windows* 7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Requirement: The option to force detect CRT/ TV is provided by the OS on Windows7.
This feature was provided by the Gfx driver on earlier OS - Vista, XP. Since
it is provided by the Win7 OS now, it negates the requirement for the driver
to provide the same and has been removed. |

NT-Miniport |
Windows*
7 |
Intel®
Atom™ D400 and D500 Series |
|||||||
Root Cause: Driver was not gracefully handling the GPU reset when the TDR app was
run. This was because wrong register definition was used for PNV. Fix: This has been fixed in Miniport component. |
